Anyone hear of open spots at the PGY1-3 level on the West Coast? Had a couple personal and family events happen during the first few years of residency (I'm sure they happen to all of us) that had I known would take place, I would have ranked my options closer to home higher. I'd really like to be closer to family from where I am across the country.
Anyone know of any West Coast openings, specifically in CA? Further, has anyone successfully transferred? What were the conversations like + how did you find out about your position? Unclear how to network/get word of mouth info in this space without making myself vulnerable to current program's disappointment/anger.
