#11
Who would've thought all-caps and 3 question marks behind every silly question would make this another dishonest, ugly post. Shame on you, internet stranger

This is America. We should not be matching any FMG in this country for any positions. The fact that FMG do match is shameful and an abuse by the programs that employ FMG.

It has nothing to do with being a FMG and everything to do with making the focus on training Americans First. As long as there are AMG not getting training because FMG are filling spots then the system is broken. Who do you think pays for a FMG to get trained? It’s the US Tax payers that’s who. Also the Fellowship pathway is largely predatory human trafficking. Most have zero chance and the fellowship programs know it. That should be disgusting to you.

It’s Slave labor. Mayo gets away with it because the FMGs won’t complain. The FMGs have “made it”.

I am referring to the residents, not the pre-residents. Mayo has a world-class residency that American grads would die for, but majority are foreign grads.

Don't think many US trained IMG neurosurgeons leave given the favourable conditions here. Whatever the taxpayer pays for residency is covered within the first years of taxes as an attending. Also doubt it was a mistake letting IMG giants such as Al-Mefty and Morcos train in the US.
