Youngest Neurosurgery Resident?
#11
He followed the 2% Way by his colleague Dr. Rolle.

Maybe if you all followed the Path, you wouldn't be bitter losers.

"2 percent a day keeps the low tier away."

Dr. Rolle, never played in a single NFL game (yet claims that HE left the NFL when it was the NFL that didn't want him), also went to a shit-tier med school. MGH residents trick y'all man.

Wow, you're right, what a failure! I mean, he was only a Rhodes Scholar, he ‘only’ played football at a top university, got drafted to the NFL, and became a neurosurgeon. But what a fraud, he didn’t actually win the Super Bowl or even start. Oh, and let's not forget that he's only become the father of four during residency while starting his own charitable foundation to provide medical assistance to underserved communities, speaks extensively as a mentor, and has written a dozen academic papers. But did he cure cancer or publish in Cell? Nope, what a disappointment! I guess it's only worth striving for greatness if you achieve the absolute highest accolades, right?

Myron Rolle clearly doesn’t make your grade because he 'only' accomplished impressive things in multiple fields, and he’s actually a nice guy. Anon Rolle critics in have been dunking on him for years on this board. Look in the mirror and ask why you are doing this. You’re certainly not elevating yourself, If someday, Rolle actually does something that merits criticism or affects you in some way…sure, call him out in it. But so far, your critique says a lot more about you than him.

Being an athlete got him the Rhodes Scholarship -> NFL practice squad -> low tier med school -> URM and pseudo-celebrity status got him to mgh (which rarely ever takes non t20 students for nsgy) -> added on to lots of papers due to mgh's productivity.

All his books and charities are bs manufactured to make him a celebrity. Dude came from a rich family and tries to sell the "rags to riches" story to become famous. He doesn't care about the field at all, only wants to look good on paper and be admired

A lot of the comments make no sense. It’s clear this topic stirs a lot of animosity for a guy who by all accounts has been successful. I do not believe he tries to make a rags to riches story, if you can demonstrate how he’s tried to portray himself that way then show us. A Rhodes scholar is based on many things, it is insanely competitive, that alone is a major accomplishment. But I am pretty sure NFL scouts didn’t consider that into signing him to the practice squad …. They probably cared more about his athletics … if you can show us a better 40 time or bench press please feel free to wow us. But yes, being a former nfl player could be a cool talking point to help get him into a medical school if he’s an otherwise well rounded person. Especially when he was probably interviewing with people that spend their time anonymously shit talking a successful young man who has made the best of his opportunities so he can now add Harvard neurosurgeon to his CV. But I’m sure you have cool stuff too so please keep telling this boards how he isn’t successful

^ Myron Rolle, that you? What's good bro!

Also, Myron Rolle only has 26 papers as an incoming PGY7... 8 of those are letters to the editor. That's honestly embarrassing for a MGH resident. Most of his papers are about med/resident education too.
